TERTIARY LIFE

School! school! school! It never ends, does it? First it was kindergarten, then primary, junior, college and now it"s university. Can you imagine?from coloring and crying out to our moms when they dropped us at school to doing real suff like architectural science for example.I can't imagine what i would have done in the past fifteen years if there was no school.I can't think of anything i could have done to pass the time, but i still think school sucks especially at tertiary level. No one thinks for you or do stuff for you ,but you.Not your lectures nor you parents, not that i like being baby and being spoon fed,it's just that i feel it's too much for some kids. You are expected to make smart choices like right from square one choosing a course you want to study. That determines what you become, what you will be doing for the rest of your life, your destiny.Students tend to think they are all grown up and that they can do whatever they like and sometimes they make the most regretfull mistakes of their lives. There is a lot of partying ,drinking or even worse doing drugs and the outcome is nothing but failure and your parents shows you to the door.

ICT CONNECTS DISABLED PEOPLE

Last week the small remote village of Tshokwe was full of life as it hosted this year's World Telecommunications & Information Technology Day.The theme of this year was "connecting persons with disabilities:Information Communications Technology for all."The minister of communication, science & technology Pelonomi Venson Moitoi who was guest speaker at this commemoration says it is crucial that all members of the society are included in the use of ICT including those with disabilities. She mentioned a number of projects initiated by Botswana Technology center among others the solar hearing aid and the telemedicine aimed at improving access to better health information services and linking disabled people with health and support centers.I think Botswana has made a tremendous growth in the IT sector.Today a lot of people are computer literate and have access to internet services, something that was once heard of only in government offices. As they say Rome was not built in one day, slowly but surely the nation will get there.Recognition of disabled people shows that the nation want to move forward as one,no stone left unturned.

SACRED OSCAR

This is just too good to be true don't you think?I mean a death predicting cat!I better get myself a cat so i can weep in advance for my loved ones, but i think there is none like Oscar.Oscar is remarkably special. He seem to posses benevolent or even devilish powers of some sort but i do not think he is evil in anyway he is just extraordinary.I wonder where he got this unworldly ability. He is on top of the hierarchy,he must have acquired a phd in life expectancy or life span or related course in humans. That is in the cat world of course. He was very lucky to have been adopted by a hospital or no one would have realized how special and capable he is and his abilities would have gone down the drain.I wonder how he does all the work, i mean being the only Doctor Death. If only there were too many Oscars, death would not be such a bad thing anymore as there will be assurance that our souls are in good hands

PAST ENGLISH EXPERIENCE

To me English class have always been a waste of precious time. All we did during English class was grammar and reading of drama books from January to December and endless boring exercises. The teachers were not so very kind and were strict like hell. There is quite a few memorable experiences about my English class and there is one that i would like to share with you.Okay it goes like this:There was this girl who was supposed to be my best friend. we had known each other since we were six or seven.we used to help each other out and share stuff like friends do.Her English was far from good.Mine was not perfect but i knew as much as she did that i was better than her.One day we were given an essay writing assignment and she asked me to lend her my work so that she can get an idea on what to write for herself and i agreed because i did not that she was planning on playing tricks with me.I was sick the day were were to submit the essay,so i missed class. When i handed in my work the following day,i could not believe my ears when the teacher said that he was going to give me a zero because i have copied somebody else's work and he did not listen to my side of the story.I was full of rage, not because i got a zero but because i have been backstabbed and betrayed.I still remember the day vividly like it happened yesterday and i hate English class and i call no one my best friend.

what fulfills my happiness

Of all the things in the world, nothing pleases me more than putting a smile on someone's face and making them feel worthy and special.Making someone happy is not a bed of roses.I have to make a lot of sacrifices sometimes at my own expense.Sometimes people don't appreciate what i do for them and i feel a little hurt, but i have learn t not to try too hard to please people,it should come naturally.I feel better about myself and that i have been made for a purpose when someone is happy because of what i did for them.My motto is:treat others the way you want to be treated and that is why i try by all means to make others happy because i want to be made happy. You don't have to buy someone expensive stuff to make them happy.Just say hello!you look great today, share a joke and have a good laugh because you never know, someone might have been planning to commit suicide because of the troubles of this life that never seem to end and you can cheer them up and make them feel worth living and change their mind.

kalahari desert

Moving down the beautiful land of Africa to the far south, there lies the unique wilderness of the kalahari desert. This arid to semi arid area covers most parts of Botswana and some parts of Namibia and South Africa. It was once well watered, dominated by lake makgadikdadi now makgadikgadi salt pan.A wide diversity of wildlife is found in this place each with a remarkable adaptation to survive the parched dryness.Examples include antelopes, giraffes, gemsbok, springbok, kudu and many others.Carnivores like lions and the brown hyena slake their thirst from the blood of their prey alone. The first inhabitats of this area are the bushmen or san,the descendents of modern man.Are you looking for leisure while you explore the beauty of God's creation,.lestening to the howling lions or the sweet melodies of the birds singing and watching the golden grass waving under the canopy of a limitless blue sky?The kalahari desert is the place to be.

WEALTH
Some families are poor and some families are rich.To become wealthy is everyone's dream but we can't be all rich simce we are not the same.We have different abilities and the way we think differs.Everything happens for a reason and i believe God had a plan when he created rich people and poor people.I can't imagine what life would be like if everyone was wealthy. No one would go to work and there will be no point in going to school.Money is the primary source of wealth,if everyone has it there will be no interaction between people as no one will ask from others. There will be no socialisation. You don't just wake up in the morning and find yourself wealthy unless you were born with a silver spoon. You need to work hard to become wealthy as they say there is no sweet without sweat.Being wealthy is not everything, you can still survive even if you are poor.Be grateful for the little that you have as some have nothing at all.
